Whatman’s thick pre-filter paper offers considerably faster flow rate with better filtration speed that cellulose filter papers of similar particle retention. GF/D Filter papers are thick, and consequently exhibit a high loading capacity.For general-purpose filtrations, solvent filtrations, and as a prefilter to extend the life of membrane filters. Offers excellent protection for finely retentive membranes. Can be mixed with any membrane, for particulate capture, and heavier substance retention in your filtering applications.

Blue Ribbon Filter": Ashless standard filter paper for very fine precipitates (class 2d acc. to DIN 53 135). Slow filter paper with highest efficiency for collecting very small particles. Also used for many routine alytical methods in different industries (e.g., determition of the amount of insoluble contamints in animal and vegetable fats and oils).
