Tea Tree essential oils are derived from the leaves of the melaleuca tree, originating in Australia. Many proponents of alternative medicine and aromatherpy experts have claimed tea tree oils have various beneficial effects and uses, ranging from antiseptic, cosmetics, and medical. Tea Tree oil has been a common home remedy substance for many years, mainly due to its antiseptic properties. Studies have shown that it is effective versus numerous viruses, bacteria, fungus, and even mites and lice. Recent tests and studies have found that Tea Tree can be used to eliminate staph bacteria including MSRA in sufficient concentrations, without the bacterium being able to build a resistance.
