Product Description

Lemongrass Essential Oil

Today, Lemongrass Essential Oil is highly used in the cosmetics, perfumery, and pharmaceutical industries.  For example, it is an ingredient in disinfectants, detergents, polishes, insect repellents, shampoos and conditioners, skin cleaners and lotion, and soap.  Lemongrass is gives Ivory Soap its recognizable scent.

In aromatherapy, it has a wide variety of uses in skin care from toning and strengthening connective tissue, balancing overactive sebum secreting glands, shrinking open pores, making perfect for acne prone and oily skin.  When incorporated in massage oils, Lemongrass Essential oil helps reduce muscle aches and pains by reducing lactic acid and stimulating circulation.

Used alone or blended with other lemon–scented oils, such as Citronella, Lemongrass Essential oil may be used as an insect repellant simply by diffusing or added to a drop or two to water when cleaning your floors. It is believed; according to recent tests conducted in Japan, to have 10 times more effective antifungal properties than eucalyptus, peppermint and tea tree essential oils.
