Cinnamon Leaf Pure Essential Oil
Cinnamon has been used for its medicinal, aroma and flavoring properties since ancient times. Ancient Egyptians used cinnamon as a sedative for child birth, as an ingredient in mulled wine, excessive bile, foot massage, love potions and incense.
Cinnamon leaf essential oil combined with lemon and ginger EO work as a great pick me up blend helping boost energy when feeling drowsy and exhausted.
Cinnamon leaf essential oil is considered a warming oil and is a great remedy for aching muscles due to poor circulation.
Recently, Cinnamon leaf oil has gained notice as a natural lip plumber. Careful application can result in plumber fuller looking lips. Lips look and become plumber due to irritation of the mucus membrane and increased blood flow to the lips, resulting in the occasional tingling feeling. However, it not recommended using this EO neat. Some experiment with low doses added to lip gloss or moisturizers
Cinnamon bark oil vs. Cinnamon leaf oil
Although both oils come from the same tree, a tropical evergreen of the lauraceae plant family. Cinnamon Bark oil contains high concentration of cinnamic aldehyde, a powerful skin irritant. For this particular reason, cinnamon leaf essential oil is preferred for use in aromatherapy. Used widely in scented household products such as candles, bath scents, potpourri, and soaps.

Recipe for Natural insect repellent for gardening:
Water plants or vegetation prior to application, for every gallon of water, mix 10 drops of cinnamon leaf and 8 drops of peppermint EO. Spray over plants and garden. Use regularly to repel insects and strengthen plants. May be used on indoor plants as well.
Warnings: Avoid using while pregnant as cinnamon leaf EO may induce menstruation and childbirth contractions. Avoid use if on anti-coagulant medications.
